Jeffrey Allan Evans

Jeff Evans, 64, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on July 17th 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a 15 month long battle with cancer. Despite his failing health, Jeff never lost his sense of humor and traveled his difficult journey with strength and grace.

 At William Chrisman High School in Independence, MO Jeff was an outstanding basketball player and teammate. Jeff and Larissa met in Junior High and were friends until they married in 2000. 

His pride and joy were his kids, Haylee and Chase, with whom he shared a passion for the outdoors. They spent many hours at Burr Oak Woods - hiking, biking and taking nature photos which Jeff won amateur photo contests with. He also loved the lake and boating as he grew up spending weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks. 

In later years, Jeff became a passionate golfer with the best group of friends he'd ever have. Several of his golf buddies have become like family to us, providing amazing support during his unchosen journey. 

Jeff is survived by his wife of 25 years, Larissa, and their two children, Haylee and Chase, his mother, MaryLou Evans, sister Becky Thomas and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, Ron Evans, brother Curt Evans and twin sister Debi Gardner. 

A visitation will be held on August 2, 2025, at 9:00am with a service following at 10:00am at Speaks Suburban Chapel located at 18020 E 39th Street Independence, Missouri 64055. Contributions are suggested to Aquinas Hospice.
