Vera Jenkins

Vera Jenkins, 91, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at her home. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Vera was born February 2, 1919 to Ed and Emma (Burris) Long. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her sons Joe Jenkins, Dean Jenkins; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and by several nieces and nephews. Vera was preceded in death by her husband Joe in ’89; son Tom in ’93; and by siblings George, Lucille, Leslie and Ruth.
