Jennifer Lynn Duerr, affectionately known to family and friends as Jen, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on May 29, 1976, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Jen’s life was a tapestry of warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

A proud graduate of McClane High School, Jen’s passion for numbers and detail led her to a fulfilling career as an accountant. She worked across diverse fields - from public construction to financial planning and medical supplies - leaving an indelible mark with her competence and integrity. Yet, it was her generous spirit and innate desire to care for others that truly defined her, often putting the needs of everyone around her before her own.

Jen found joy in nature. She loved the water and cherished her time at the beach. She wished to embark on journeys that would have allowed her to explore beaches and coastlines. Her creative soul found comfort in cross stitching and crocheting, fashioning blankets and scarves while watching '80s movies and the beloved TV show "Friends," pastimes that perfectly captured her blend of nostalgia and gentle humor.

Above all, Jen treasured the moments spent with family and friends. She was the heart of gatherings, offering laughter, support, and love unreservedly. Her proudest accomplishments were her children - Cody Walker and Bobbi Jo Huffman - who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Jen’s devotion extended to her grandchildren - Darlynn, Hayzel, Twyla, and Wylder - whose lives she enriched deeply. Her joy was amplified by the anticipation of her fifth grandchild, a new chapter of hope and love that Jen was eagerly awaiting.

Jen is survived by her beloved mother, Laurel Cooper; father, Bryan Cooper; devoted fiancé, Eric Melin; son, Cody Walker (Breanna); daughter, Bobbi Jo Huffman (Tucker); granddaughters, Darlynn Walker, Hazel Walker, and Twyla Walker; grandson, Wylder Huffman; sister, Heather Duerr; nieces, Mary Jane Moore and Corrigan Moore; and many, many friends. Each holds a special place in her story, woven together by the yarn of her kindness and care.

Jennifer Lynn Duerr’s life was a gift to all who knew her - a shining example of generosity, resilience, and heartfelt connection. Though she has departed this world, her spirit lives on in the smiles of her children, the laughter of her grandchildren, and the precious memories treasured by all who loved her. May her soul find peace, as we carry her love forward in our hearts forever. Private family services have been planned. The family would like to express their gratitude for the condolences shared with them. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Liver Foundation in Jen's honor.
