Virginia Jennings

Virginia Lee Jennings, 87, Independence, MO died March 7, 2008 at Rosewood Health Center. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to The Groves Hospice or The Groves Auxiliary.
Virginia was born May 15, 1920 to George and Ruth Ellen Bennett in Independence and was a lifelong resident. She retired from Antoine’s Seed Company after twenty-five years. She also worked at Grandy’s for two years and Luby’s for three years.
Virginia was preceded in death by husbands Jule Jennings and Hubert P. Bowen; sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Frank Bowen. She is survived by daughter Marjorie Whiting and husband, Robert, Independence, MO; step-daughter Donna O’Tool, Pleasant Hill, MO; step-sons Michael Jennings, Kansas City, MO; Ronald J. Jennings and wife Kathy, Independence, MO; niece Vicki Dodge and husband Jerry; grandsons Jason Whiting and wife SiouxSanna Ramierez-Cruz Whiting; Ryan Whiting and wife Jaqueline; step-grandson Jeff Jennings and wife Laura; step-granddaughter Stacy Rauchle and husband Chris; great-grandson Aidan Whiting; step-great-grandsons Jacob Jennings; Zach Rauchle; step-great-granddaughters Jordan Jennings; Ciarra Jennings; Mercedes Rauchle; and step-great-great-grand daughter MaKenna Jennings.
