Fred H. Jensen, 79, Buckner, MO passed away Feb. 9, 2013. Services will be 2 pm, Wed., Feb. 13 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Buckner Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Pkwy., Ste. 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Fred was born April 10, 1933 in Kansas City, MO. He was a Marine veteran. He served as a firefighter for the KCFD. Fred loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Jensen and son Timmy.. He is survived by daughter Penny Pace; son Dennie Jensen and wife Annette; brother Bill Jensen and wife Linda; grandchildren Aaron, Matthew, Luke, Jacob, Caleb, Rachel, Sarah, Patrick; great-grandchildren Gunner, Max, Olivia and Jemma
