Jerretta Lou Peterson

Jerretta Lou Peterson, 87 of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Centrepoint Medical Center. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 for Visitation and Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Olean Cemetery in Olean, MO. Jerretta was born February 19, 1937, in Eldon, MO to Lyman and Eunice (Shoemaker) Jobe. She had worked as a Floor Supervisor at Jemco Printing for over 30 years and in credit and retail at Montgomery Ward. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and visiting with family and friends and go cart racing. She is survived by her son, Richard Peterson; sister, Betty Harkless and many nieces, nephews, and extended family She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert O. Peterson; her son Donald Peterson; her parents, Lyman and Eunice Jobe and her brother, Larry Jobe.
