Jerry Alvin Allin, 86 of Independence, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at his home. Visitation will be Thursday August 14th between the hours of 6-8pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will take place at Mound Grove Cemetery, 1818 N. River Blvd., Independence, MO at 12:30 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Jerry Alvin Allin was born in Independence, MO on June 6, 1939. Parents: Claude Alvin Allin and Dorothy Sue (Frisbey) Allin. Jerry lived and worked in Independence, MO all his life. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1957. Jerry was involved in Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He owned and operated Allin’s Hunting and Fishing Supplies and Allin’s Taxidermy and Archery on East Lexington in Independence for over 65 years.
Jerry married Bonnie E. Bussard on August 5, 1960. They had two daughters, Kathleen and Barbara. Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time in the county near Climax Springs, Missouri with his family. At home Jerry enjoyed his three cats and his water garden/fish pond. He was a long-time member of the Greater Kansas City Water Garden Society.
Family members include his wife Bonnie Bussard Allin of the home, daughters Kathleen Rae Allin (Jeffrey) Mitchell, Barbara Lynn Allin (Ty) Green, grandson Ty Curtis Green, granddaughters Whitney Brooke Larsen (Christoper) Knitter, Brandy Jo Green (Joseph) Russell, great granddaughter Bexley Sage Russell, brothers, David L (Sharon) Allin, Michael E Allin, Larry D (Rena) Allin.
