John A Bajt

John A. Bajt, 80,  passed away peacefully at his home in Independence, MO on September 12, 2023. He was born on August 17, 1943, in Joliet, IL to John and Stephanie (Wolan) Bajt.  He was a devoted husband to Mary (Fiene) Bajt for an incredible 55 years together as of July 6, 2023. 

John's impact extended far beyond his family life. As an esteemed businessman, John owned and operated a successful computer business alongside his trusted partner Bill Ashley for more than 30 years. Known for his tech-savviness and innovative ideas, John converted his home into the smart house of his dreams.  

Outside of work, John's warm personality and genuine compassion endeared him to everyone he met. He had an unwavering commitment to helping others and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether it was mowing neighbors' lawns, shoveling their snow, or taking out their trash, John's acts of kindness left an indelible impact on the community he called home. He truly embodied the spirit of the neighborhood boy scout.

John had many interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He loved taking long walks with his faithful companion Bugsy, the family dog.  As a sports enthusiast, John was a passionate supporter of the Chiefs, Cubs, and Royals. 

Beyond his personal and professional achievements, John's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family. John was an amazing father, husband, and friend. They will miss all the light he brought to their lives. 

John's memory will forever be treasured by his surviving family members: his loving wife Mary Bajt; his daughter Joanne Bajt; his son-in-law Jimmy Munger; his sister Dorothy; his brother Bob; and his business partner Bill Ashley. Their lives have been forever enriched by John's presence and they will continue to carry on his legacy of love and compassion. He is preceded in death by his son Tom Bajt; parents John and Stephanie Bajt; and his cousin Bill. 

The funeral service honoring John's life will take place on September 20, 2023, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Independence, MO. The service will commence at 11:00 AM. 
As we mourn the loss of an exceptional individual, let us also celebrate a life well-lived—a life that touched so many in immeasurable ways. May the memories we shared with John bring comfort during this difficult time, and may his spirit continue to guide and inspire us all.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or Crossroads Hospice in John's name.
