Bessie Johnson

Bessie E. Johnson, 92, of Independence, MO passed away September 25, 2008 at Independence Manor Care. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. service to follow on Monday, September 29, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Bessie was born January 8, 1916 in Fredricktown, MO to Atlee and Ethel (Tripp) Pope. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd W. Johnson in 1971. Bessie is survived by her two daughters, Janelle Sheley and Rochelle Luce; five grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
