Cheryl Kay Johnson, 60, passed away on March 10, 2015.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, from 6-8pm, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052.
Cheryl worked for the Jackson County Assessment Department as a Lead Clerk for over 10 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to her garden, and reading mystery novels. She collected various things throughout her years, and scouted many garage sales and antique stores for hidden treasures and good deals. She welcomed all cats into her home, and she was a second mom to the neighborhood kids. Above all, she was wholly devoted to her family, and never put herself first.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William; son, Michael; brothers, Michael and Mark; niece, Nicole; and nephew, Casey.
