Robert Edward Jolin, 82 of Independence, MO, passed away, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at NorthCare Hospice House. Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m., until service time Sunday at the chapel. Donations may be made to NorthCare Hospice. Robert was born October 14, 1930 in Fairfield Center, ME to Napoleon George and Lumina Marie (Labbe) Jolin. He had worked as foreman of the ballistics department at Lake City Ammunition Plant from 1963 until he retired in 1990. He enjoyed coin collecting, shooting guns, model trains, woodworking fishing and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by; a son, Chris Jolin and wife Tari of Holt, MO; 2 daughters, Bobbi House and husband Daryl of St. Joseph, MO and Karen Howk and husband Felix of Independence, MO; 3 grandchildren, Kelli Pyle, Jonathan Howk and Ryan Howk.
