Jonathan Fielding

May 5, 2004 — January 27, 2024

Jonathan Michael Fielding (Johnny), of Orem, Utah passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2024. He was 19 years old. While the passing of Jonathan was unexpected, we take some comfort knowing that he was doing what he loved at the time of the accident. He was on a photoshoot with friends in the beautiful Utah wilderness where he loved to be.

Jonathan was born May 5, 2004, in Blue Spring, Missouri to Tammy Rae and Michael Delynn Fielding. He was the fourth of six children and the only son born to Tammy and Michael. Jonathan was a loving and caring son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and cousin.

Jonathan is survived by his loving parents Micheal D. Fielding and Tammy R. Fielding. His sister Brooke and her husband Cammeron Westenskow and his nieces Mackenzie, Michaela and her husband Anthony Lao, Rebecca, Kaitlin, and Michelle. He is also survived by his grandparents Delynn and Margaret Fielding and Garry and Shirley Mayo as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jonathan grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri. He graduated from Blue Springs High School. While attending Blue Springs High School, he was a member of the Track and Field team participating in pole vault and he went to State in DECA. Jonathan was a member of Troop 246 in the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Jonathan was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he attended multiple community service projects, campouts, and helped those in need.

Jonathan was a fun-loving, intelligent young man that had developed some unique talents. He had big dreams and hopes focused on sales. More important than his dreams and future plans, however, Jonathan was a good person. Jonathan truly cared about others. He would genuinely listen to you. He was truly a friend in every sense of the word. He had many friends and was an influence for good. He was always kind to others. He would often notice those that needed help and offered them assistance and encouragement. His friends would call him Johnny.

While Jonathan’s time in life was limited, his impact on others was not. He was loved by many. He will be missed by all that knew him. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, February 2nd at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 705 W. Walnut St., Independence, MO. 64050. Johnny's funeral service will begin at 10am on Saturday, February 3rd at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
