Brian Paul Jones

Brian Paul Jones, 65, of Independence, Missouri passed away, Thursday, July 17, 2014. No services will be scheduled; cremation. He was born to Roy Paul and Mary Amy Travis Jones in Warren, Ohio on March 10, 1949. Brian graduated from Mentor High School and Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa. Brian and his partner David Meinsen have made Independence their home together for the last 21 years. Brian started his professional career with Lake County National Bank, continuing through mergers and acquisitions to work in the accounting and operations areas of Bank One, Blue Valley Federal, RTC, and First National Bank of Platte County. Brian is survived by his father Roy; partner David, both of Independence, Missouri; his children Keir Jones, Long Beach, California and Kari Kirkley, Atlanta, Georgia; and his siblings Barry T. Jones, Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Julie Huntley, Pinedale, Wyoming. Brian enjoyed history, current events, architecture, photography, going to the lake and loved his dogs.
