Scott Allen Jones

Scott Allen Jones, 44 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at his residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday evening, August 9, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with visitation to follow. Donations may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or to Lee’s Summit Social Services Food Pantry. Scott was born February 9, 1971 in Houston, TX to Clarence Allen and Sara Beth (Warren) Jones. He had worked for several years as a glazier and had worked for Gates City Glass Company. He played drums for the Blackwood-N-Skins Irish Pipe Band. He enjoyed painting, raising chicken and ducks, camping and fishing. He was baptized in the Baptist church in TX. He had also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his daughter, Madeline Jones of the home; his mother, Sara Beth Spencer of Independence, MO; a brother, Dallas Jones and wife Tera of Lee’s Summit, MO; 2 nieces, Kayla and Kortney and a great nephew, Jax. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael D. Jones, his father Clarence D. Jones and his grandparents, Lubie and Julia Warren.
