Betty Jordan

Betty Louise Jordan, 79, of Independence, MO was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 surrounded by her family. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Burial in Brooking Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Golden Living Center Therapy Department, Independence, MO. Betty was born October 8, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to George and Hazel (White) Raines. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was an avid roller skater in her youth, and enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling in her spare time. Mrs. Jordan retired from Armco Steel in 1988 after 20 years of service. She was an active and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Clyde Jordan; sons Rick Jordan and wife Carla; Rob Jordan and wife Kelli; grandchildren Amanda, Tyler, Kenzi and Cameron. Betty was preceded in death by her son Mark Allen Jordan in 1992; and brother Bob Raines in 1998.
