May Clara Jorgensen, 92, of Indep., MO, passed away April 18th at The Groves nursing home. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, April 23rd at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street Indep., MO. Funeral Service will be 10 am, Friday, April 24th, at the Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. May was born in Weston, Iowa on May 30th 1922 to Jorgen & Clara Jorgensen. She moved to Richmond, MO in 1927. She was a member of the RLDS church and attended Graceland College for two years. She worked for the Independence Sanitarium Hospital as a Medical Transcriber for 27 years retiring in 1984.May had a love for music and she sang in various choirs including the Stone Church Choir, Messiah Choir, a radio choir, as well as a radio quartet. May was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and other family members who loved her dearly. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and many relatives.
