Judy Eichorst

Judy Eichorst, 83 of Independence, MO passed away July 23, 2026, with her husband and best friend Dana by her side. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 24, 1943, to Edward A. Krusbe and Lucille Szerlong Krusbe, who both preceded her in death. Judy was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking special recipes for friends and family. She was also an avid recipe collector. Judy was a volunteer along with her husband for many years at the Veteran’s Home in Quincy, Illinois, sharing her goodies with staff and residents alike. Judy also enjoyed crocheting, needle craft, and gardening. Judy was preceded in death by Stasha, her beloved Lhasa Apso. Judy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Arnie Eichorst of the home; son Ted Natzel (Julie); daughter Allison Lorr (Albert); stepdaughter Carla Weber (Ted); best friends Chuck and Dana Bradley; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where Judy was a member. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow the mass, and inurnment will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, Mother’s Refuge, or Shelter KC.
