Bettie Julian

Bettie Julian, 79, of Independence, MO passed away January 1, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Bettie was born February 4, 1929 in Sugar Creek, MO to Merle and Flonnie (Vaughn) Culp. She spent her working life as an office manager and secretary for Julian and Company, CPA. She was part owner in Datacomp and Hill Flower Shop. She volunteered for the Bingham-Waggoner Historical Society, Central Inheritance, as well as being a member of the Churches of North America Fellowship. Bettie enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader of mystery novels. She is survived by her loving husband, V.A. “Sonny” Julian; four children, Greg Julian, Wayne Julian, Samantha St. Julian and Cindy Julian; three grandchildren, Torey, Alexandra and Gabrielle Julian. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2008 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House.
