Juline Hern, 89, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023, in Blue Springs, MO. She was born in Marceline, MO on July 14, 1934, to Alvah Lee Still and Ines Elizabeth (Linebaugh) Still. She married Abe Hern and together they went on to have three children. Juline stayed home with the children and was an amazing homemaker through the years. She later graduated from cosmetology school and eventually became an instructor at the Independence School of Hair Dressing. She resumed homemaking once her kids were all grown and had children of their own, she loved to get her hands on her grandkids and eventually great grandkids as often as possible. She loved to cook, and boy was she good at it. Juline enjoyed sports of all kinds but especially rooting for the Royals and the Chiefs, she even enjoyed watching bowling. Juline also loved putting together puzzles and sewing. She and her husband Abe used to travel to Colorado every single year and go trout fishing, that was one of their favorite adventures together.
Juline is survived by her three children; Michael Wayne Hern (Carla), Cynthia Gayle Clarkson, and Pamela Sue Morley, her grandchildren; Dana, Damon, Alex (Patricia), Eric (Raegen), and Ashley, great-grandchildren; MJ, Jabe, Isabella, Rowynn, and Parker, and two sisters Elizabeth Ann Edwards and Leila Lee Cohoon. She is preceded in death by her husband Abe Hern, her parents Alvah and Ines Still, and twin sister Jeraldine Washam.
A graveside service to celebrate Juline’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 30,2023 at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, MO.
