Justin David Andrews, a beloved husband, father, and esteemed financial analyst, departed this world on June 9, 2025, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, leaving an indelible mark upon the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Born on July 14, 1976, in Manhattan, Kansas, Justin’s journey through life was characterized by unwavering dedication to his family, professional excellence, and a spirit of kindness.
A graduate of Truman High School, Justin pursued higher education with fervor, earning his bachelor’s degree in finance from Truman State University, where he was proud to be a member of the Pi Kappa Phi honor society. His thirst for knowledge did not stop there, as he furthered his studies by achieving a master’s degree from Webster University. A senior financial analyst at Sprint, his expertise with numbers was both profound and remarkable, earning him the respect of his colleagues and peers alike. Beyond the walls of academia, Justin’s character shone brightly. He was a man of extraordinary kindness and generosity, always placing the needs of others above his own. Whether through his infectious laughter or his warm smile, he had an innate ability to uplift the spirits of those around him, creating a loving presence that will be greatly missed.
In 2003, Justin began a beautiful love story with Katie, whom he would end up proposing to during a skiing trip at Winter Park on Thanksgiving Day in 2006. On September 22, 2007, they vowed to forever cherish their lives together. The proudest accomplishments of Justin’s life were his daughters, Emily and Chloe, whom he adored beyond measure. As the quintessential "girl dad," he embraced fatherhood with natural grace, coaching their oldest daughter, Emily, in soccer and fostering a shared passion for tennis that began with his high school days. Justin's interests extended beyond family and career; he was also an accomplished Eagle Scout, a talented meat smoker, and a lover of music.
Justin's passing was preceded by his grandparents, Floriman and Lucille Andrews, and Ernest and Della Kyes; his aunt, Susan Wilson; his uncle, Dennis Kyes; and his mother-in-law, Barbara Machajewski. His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his best friend and wife, Katie Andrews; their daughters, Emily Andrews and Chloe Andrews; his sisters, Heather Dalton (Cade), Kiersten Moreno (Robert), and Bethany Szczepanski (Steve); his parents, David and Diana (Kyes) Andrews; his nieces and nephews, Haylee Andrews-Kesler, Jake Renton, Reese Moreno, Jordan Moreno, Dean Moreno, Della Szczepenski, and Andrew Szczepenski; his brother-in-law, Ryan Machajewski; and his father-in-law, Jerry Machajewski.
Justin's life will be commemorated with a visitation at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri, on June 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri, during a graveside service that will occur later that day at 1:30 PM.
