Katherine Genevieve Novak, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023, in Sugar Creek, Missouri. She was born on April 18, 1933, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Frank and Anna Kratofil. She married Jerry Novak on April 21, 1956, he precedes her in death.

 

Katherine dedicated over fifty years of her life to serving others as a pharmacist. Her expertise and dedication in the field were commendable, leaving a lasting impact on her patients and coworkers. She received her degree in pharmaceutical science, solidifying her knowledge and passion for her chosen career.

 

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Katherine led a life characterized by humility and energy. Her vibrant personality brought joy to all who knew her. Katherine was truly loved by everyone she encountered.

 

A devout member of St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, Katherine found solace in her faith and actively participated in church activities. She generously volunteered at the Truman Library and Centerpoint Medical Center, offering help to those in need within her community.

 

Katherine's love and devotion extended beyond her professional and volunteer work to her family. She cherished her time with them and leaves behind a rich legacy of love and kindness. Katherine is survived by her children Jean Kaiser (Howard), Randy Novak, Karen Novak; grandsons Michael Dye (Alisha), Brian Kaiser (Samantha); great-grandchildren Eli, Faith, Ellie, Grace, and Sebastian; as well as over fifty nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on August 10th at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church located at 11401 Chicago St in Sugar Creek. The visitation will begin at 3:30 PM followed by Rosary at 4:30 PM. A Mass honoring Katherine's life will take place at the same location starting at 5:00 PM. Inurnment of her ashes will be on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10:00AM at Mound Grove Cemetery, Sugar Creek, MO.

 

Katherine Genevieve Novak will forever be remembered for her selflessness, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy will continue to inspire others to live a life of compassion and service. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Katherine's memory be made to Poor of Jesus Christ.
