Kathryn Ann Short

Kathryn Ann Short, 81, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Centerpoint Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Kathryn was born July 12, 1942, in Independence, MO to Earl and Velma (Hancock) Sallee. She grew up with five siblings and herself all sharing a room in a small home.  Kathryn had worked for over 12 years on the assembly line at Hallmark. Kathryn is survived by; 2 sons, Kenneth Short and Karl Short both of Independence, MO and a sister, Sylvia Honeyball.
