Norma Kays

Norma Ruth Kays, 81, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 21 at Blue Springs Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Norma was born November 16, 1926 in California, MO to Louis and Jennie (Allee) Bellamy, the oldest of eight children. She graduated from Eldon High School and then married Norman Kays. She was a faithful member of Susquehanna Baptist Church. Norma’s life was centered around her home and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband of 62 years, Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Patty Kays; grandson Nick Kays and his wife Dominique; granddaughter Allyssa Kays; seven siblings: Gene Bellamy, Faye Melton and her husband Don, Mary Lee Lehman and her husband Dorsey, Glenn Bellamy and his wife Marilyn, Carol Beard and her husband Ron, Paul Bellamy and his wife Amy and Donna Bellamy; and a host of extended family and friends.
