Betty June Kegerries, 73, of Kansas City, Missouri died at NorthCare Hospice and Palliative Care on Sunday, February 23, 2014, and now she will begin her eternal walk with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Betty was born June 10, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri to Julius and Zelma (Romay) Bradford. As a young girl, Betty and her family gained regional notoriety as an acrobatic troop in the Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus, performing under the name The Bouncing Bradfords. Betty was married in 1956 to Jack Dunnegan who died in 1970. She was later remarried to Willie W. (Wayne) Kegerries in 1976. Betty was a lifelong area resident and she retired from the Bendix/Allied Signal plant in 1996.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Marty and Sonny L. Bradford and sister, Clara Jean Bradford, and by her oldest daughter, Debbie K. Dunnegan.
Betty is survived by her sister, Mrs. Jackie Stutsman, daughters, Mrs. Patricia A. Collins (James), Ms. Vickie L. Butkovich, and Mrs. Tammy L. Jarowitz (Frank), eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Speaks Suburban Funeral Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO, with the funeral service commencing at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.
