Keith North

Keith North, 93 of Raymore, MO passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 451 SW 150 Hwy Lee’s Summit, MO 64082 with graveside services and military honors to be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Donations may be made in his name to the Missionary Fund at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lee’s Summit. Keith was born July 9, 1932, in Lehi, UT to Clarence E. and June E. (Knapton) North and has been a longtime area resident. He owned and operated Olathe Millwork when they opened in 1983 until 2012. He enjoyed woodworking, water and snow skiing, scuba diving, traveling, deep sea fishing and was a private pilot. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty Jean (Preator) on July 24, 1953, and they enjoyed nearly 73 years together, she survives him. Other survivors include; 4 children, Cathie Purdy of Salt Lake City, UT, Bentley Klingensmith and husband Gary of Belton, MO, Brian North and wife Wendy of Olathe, KS and Misty Gallagher and husband Nathan of Lee’s Summit, MO; 3 brothers, Wayne North of Springfield, MO, Larry North and wife Connie of South Ogden, Utah and Vaughn North and wife Myrna of Escondido, California; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
