Romana M. Kelleher

Romana Mary "Romie� Kelleher, 97, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006 at Hidden Lake Care Center. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2006 at Mt. St. Mary�s Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m. Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Romie was born June 5, 1909 in Shawnee, KS to Gustav and Sylvia (Dedyne) Vandierendonk. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Mrs. Kelleher enjoyed spending her spare time sewing, crocheting, quilting and making Raggedy Ann dolls. Romie raised canaries and enjoyed gardening. She was known for her great cooking. Mrs. Kelleher is survived by her daughters Rita Cohen, Sylvia Telander; son John Kelleher, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Romie was preceded in death by her husband John Kelleher, Sr. in 1969, son Michael Kelleher in 1954 and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
