Elsie Kellems, 84, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at St. Luke’s East surrounded by her family. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Speaks. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Elsie was born March 14, 1927 in Spencer County, IN to George and Lula (Anderson) Winters. She loved her family dearly, they were the light of her life! Mrs. Kellems is survived by her daughters Ann Foreman, Linda Johnson and husband Steve; former son-in-law Charlie Foreman; grandchildren Cybil, Stephanie, Ivan and Trevor; great-grandchildren Stephen, Taylor, Gannon, Kylie; siblings Jimmy Winters, Amy Blandford, Cecil Winters; sister-in-law Betty Wade; and dear friend Ann Moffit. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Leslie Ray Kellems in April, 1988.
