Kelli Ruth Ring

Kelli Ruth Ring, 61 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, MO.  The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the chapel.  Donations may be made in her name to the LGBTQ+ Youth at https://www.inclusivekc.org/ or the KC Pet Project at https://kcpetproject.org/.  Kelli was born July 5, 1962 in Independence, MO to Ronald Blaine and Linda Ruth (Akins) Calvert and has been a lifelong area resident.  She had worked as a paraprofessional for the Missouri State Schools for over 30 years until she retired in 2016.  She enjoyed online shopping, attending her grandson’s soccer games and, most of all, time spent with family and friends.  She is survived by; a daughter, Katie Ring of Independence, MO; a grandson, whom she raised, Korby Ring of Pittsburg, PA; a granddaughter, Shelby Ward of Independence, MO; her mother, Linda Ruth Calvert; a brother, Jerry Calvert and wife Sandy and their children, Austin Calvert and Erin Jeska-Kennedy and her wife Julia Jeska-Kennedy.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel (816) 373-3600)
