Kenneth Charles "Kenny" Vogel
Kenneth Charles "Kenny" Vogel, 55, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the city where he was born and spent his life. Born on May 20, 1971, in Independence, Kenny's passing comes far too soon and leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Kenny worked for many years as a contractor, taking pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependable nature, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
A man of Christian faith, Kenny found strength and comfort in his relationship with God. His faith guided him throughout his life and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and love he showed to others.
Above all else, Kenny cherished his family. He loved spending time with those he loved, whether enjoying going out or a simple outing, taking walks with his children, or caring for the animals that brought him joy. Some of his happiest moments were the everyday memories made with family and friends. He also enjoyed listening to the music of For King & Country, whose uplifting messages reflected the faith and hope he carried throughout his life.
Kenny will be remembered for his warm heart, his love for family, his easygoing spirit, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. Though his time on earth was cut short, the impact he made on the lives of others will endure for years to come.
Kenny is survived by his children, Chandler Vogel, Tyler Vogel, Haley Vogel, Bailey Wall, and Schena; wife, Melissa Vogel; partner, Heidi Garrett; mother, Paula (Bill) Gosney; grandchildren; siblings, Wayne (Dawn) Vogel, Vickie (Jeff) Foster, Ronny (Cambree) Vogel, Cale Gosney; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his children, Trinity and Gage Vogel and his father, Charles Vogel.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Kenny during a visitation on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, Missouri 64052. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens in Independence, Missouri. Food and fellowship at Grace Church located at 1915 N Liberty Independence, MO 64050, 5:00-7:00 following the burial.
Kenny's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in his life.
