Mary Anne Kessner (Modlin)

Mary Anne Kessner, 58, formally of Independence, MO passed away June 24, 2015. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Monday, June 29, 2015 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10 am Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the chapel. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Mary was born on March 26, 1957 in Kansas City, MO to Larry and Verda (Thompson) Modlin. She attended William Chrisman High School. Mary went on to become a barber, a profession that she was very proud of. Mary was a member of Calvary Chapel. In her free time she enjoyed crafts of all kinds, quilting, but most importantly spending time with family. Survivors include her husband Terry; sons Troy Kessner (Michele) and David Horton III; daughters Karen Porter (Roger), Tina Bettleyoun, Amanda Horton ,and Darci Horton; 14 grandchildren; 13 brothers and sisters., and a large extended family. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Gary Coe, and grandson Noah Stratton.
