Kevin Forrest Leibold, 65, passed away suddenly on July 14, 2023. He was born on September 6, 1957, in Sugar Creek, Missouri. Kevin's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends but is also an opportunity to celebrate his remarkable life.

Kevin graduated from William Chrisman High School as a proud member of the class of 1976. After completing his education, he embarked on a fulfilling career and retired as a foreman at City of Independence Public Works in 2011. Throughout his professional journey, Kevin showcased dedication, commitment, and a strong work ethic that earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. During his years of employment at Public Works, Kevin won several awards during the annual APWA Snowplow rodeo.

Outside of work, Kevin found immense joy in various hobbies and interests. He had an innate passion for old cars and enjoyed seeing them restored to their former glory. Whether it was camping with family and friends or fishing trips with buddies, Kevin cherished being outdoors. His love for traveling led him on many adventures. He was also a Fire builder in the Tribe of Mic-o-say and Past President of the Fraternal of Eagles. Above all else, being with his family brought Kevin the greatest happiness.

A devoted husband to his beloved wife Carol, Kevin shared countless cherished moments together. Their lives exemplified dedication and example for their children and grandchildren to follow. As a father to Quentin Leibold and Kristina Shineman, Kevin's guidance shaped their paths in life. He nurtured them with unconditional love and instilled in them values that they carry with them today.

However, Kevin's pride and joy were undoubtedly his grandchildren: Isabella, Austin, Gabriella, and Aubrey. Their presence brought a sparkle to his eyes that couldn't be matched by any other joy in life. Watching them grow and sharing remarkable experiences left an indelible mark on Kevin's heart.

In the midst of grieving Kevin's loss, his family finds solace in knowing that he is now reunited with his loved ones who have passed before him. Kevin's parents; Forrest and Louise Leibold.

Kevin is survived by his adored wife of 46 years, Carol (Barker) Leibold; children, Quentin (Jennifer) Leibold, Kristina (Steven) Shineman; grandchildren, Isabella Leibold, Austin Sinclair, Gabriella Leibold, and Aubrey Shineman; sister, Karen Brown; extended family and many dear friends.
