James King

James Howard King, 62, of Independence, MO passed away July 30, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 4, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 17200 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. James was born November 23, 1945 in Wycliff, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, James “JW” King. James is survived by his loving wife, Linda King; one son, James W. King; mother, Lillie King; two grandsons, Matthew and Michael King; sister, Rita Wheeler; step-daughter, Sherry Smith and daughter Chelsey Smith; step-son, Darrin Ross and daughter Savannah Ross; nieces, Kristina Porter and Teri Wilmes; and close friend, Robert Friesner.
