Hubert Ward Kinser, 94, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Walnut Park Community of Christ, Celebration Center; 1137 S. Pearl, Independence, MO 64050.
Hubert was born February 5, 1917 in Springfield, MO the son of Henry Ward and Sina (Womack) Kinser. He was employed with Standard Oil for 12 years and retired from operating his own residential maintenance business. Hubert had served in the Missouri National Guard and had volunteered painting at the Temple during construction.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Sims, and Jewell Sarratt; brother, Eugene Kinser and his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife of 72 years, Lillian Kinser; daughters, Lois Brewer and her husband David, and Marilyn Tindall; sister, Mae McDaniel, niece, Carol Finney; grandchildren, Lavon Gard and her husband Don, Dana Clark and her husband Kevin, Linda Speigle and her husband Richard, Evan Tindall and his wife Sandra, and Jana Soule and her husband Kenneth, Jr.; great grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Gard, Lexi, Ashley and Brandon Speigle, Alissa and Carolyn Clark, Carter and Claire Tindall, Marissa and Samantha Soule; and additional nieces, nephews and family.
