Alfred Jack Knapp, Sr.

Alfred Jack Knapp, Sr., 84, Kingsville MO, passed away Monday, September 8, 2003, at St. Mary�s Hospital in Blue Springs MO. A Memorial Celebration will be held on his birthday, 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 20, at the E. 39th Street Community of Christ, Independence MO. Mr. Knapp was born September 20, 1918, in Johnson City, NY, to Alfred and Verna Knapp. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed for over 30 years with IBM as a Senior Lab Specialist, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Community of Christ, and had been ordained as an Elder on October 29, 1950. He gave tirelessly of himself and had gone to both Haiti and Mexico with Outreach International. He will be missed by all.
