Betty Kneedler

Betty Kneedler, 81, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at North Kansas City Hospital. A Visitation for Betty will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, May 11, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God; 5607 Saint John Ave, Kansas City, MO 64123. Burial at Mount Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO.

Betty was born on September 29, 1930 in Hastings, IA to parents Jesse Edward and Viva Mae (Allen) Lacy. She was a member of Calvary Temple for 56 years, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and serving others. Betty’s husband, Bernard Kneedler preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lee Lacy. Mrs. Kneedler leaves behind her six children; Kathleen Batye (Wayne), Joan Kellner (Don), Annie Mooney (Don), Doyle Kneedler (Ann), Gail Hertzog (Tom), and Jeannie Martinez (Juan); 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Bonnie Kovash (Dave); brother Darvin Lacy (Betty); nieces, nephews, and friends.
