Virginia Ann (Bresson) Konko, 72 of Blue Springs, MO passed away, Sunday, January 25, 2009 at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs, MO. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Virginia was born May 15, 1936 in Wooster, OH to Bernard C. and Traci A. (Weimer) Bresson. She grew up and graduated from Illinois public schools and received a BS in Education from Southern Illinois University. She taught children of Air Force personnel stationed in Germany. She later taught public schools in Illinois and worked as a librarian for Mid Continent Library in Blue Springs, MO. She enjoyed gardening sewing, crafts, birds and reading. She was a member of St. John LaLande Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who spent most of her retirement years caring for her husband who suffered from Alzheimer’s. She is survived by; a daughter, Traci J. Groner and husband Paul of Blue Springs, MO; a son, Michael J. Konko and his wife Debra of Grain Valley, MO; her mother, Traci A. Bresson of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, Al Bresson of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Paula Arnold of Alton, IL; and 4 grandchildren, Michael and Hannah VanRiette and Brittney and Zachary Konko. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 43 years, Daniel J. Konko on August 26, 2007.
