Gloria Kralicek

Gloria W. Kralicek, 90, Independence, MO passed away peacefully at her home Sept. 15, 2008 �" one day before her ninety-first birthday. Services will be at 10 am, Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Independence; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 am Friday at the church. The family suggests contributions to Village Hospice, 400 NW Murray Rd. Lee’s Summit, MO 64081 or the First United Methodist Church of Independence.
Gloria was born Sept. 16, 1917 in Kansas City, KS where she grew up and graduated from Wyandotte High School. She was married to her devoted husband, Harvey Kralicek of Caldwell, KS for over seventy-one years. Together they purchased and operated Dobson Cleaners for over thirty-six years until their retirement in 1986. Gloria was a long-time member of the Independence Young Matrons and she and Harvey were members of the church. She was an avid Bridge player and was a member the same women’s Bridge group for over fifty years. More recently, she and Harvey played with their friends and neighbors at Glendale of the Mansions where they lived for the past seven years.
Gloria is survived by her husband Harvey Kralicek, of the home; daughter Donna Dowell and husband Jerry, Independence, MO; son Bob Kralicek, Kansas City, MO; grandsons Greg Dowell and wife Kristal, Blue Springs, MO; Steven Dowell and wife Rayanne, Lawrence, KS; Bert Dowell, Independence, MO; Jeff Dowell and wife Dawn, Wheaton, IL; Bob Kralicek and wife Diane, Overland Park, KS; and twelve great-grandchildren.
