Sue Kubli

Sue Anne Kubli, 67, of Independence, MO passed away July 17, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House. A visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Sue was born October 6, 1942 in St. Joseph, MO to James Allen and Sylvia (Foley) Hartman. She graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph, MO in 1960. On August 19, 1960, she married Clyde E. Kubli. She was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union until she retired from Safeway/Food Barn. Sue enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all of their activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kari Lea Kubli; one brother, James A. Hartman, Jr.; stepmother, Angeline “Skooky” Hartman. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Clyde E. Kubli; two daughters, Kristi Atchley (Jim) and Kaye Gach (Terry); five grandchildren, Kristin Moore (Eric), Stephanie Atchley (fiancé Matt Williams), Tyler, Ashley and Caleb Gach; two great grandsons, Grayson and Emmett Moore; and her beautiful kitty Tommy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kubli Family Baseball Scholarship Fund c/o The School District of Independence Foundation Inc., 3225 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Contributions may also be made to the Kansas City Hospice House.
