Diane A. Lamb, 65, Sugar Creek, MO passed away May 30, 2011. A memorial service will begin at 11 am, Friday, June 3, 2011 at South Crylser Restoration Branch, 16101 E. Salisbury Rd, Independence, MO 64050-2267. Visitation will begin at 10 am before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the church.
Diane was born Dec. 31, 1945 in Independence and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1964. Her passion was teaching people to swim and she conducted classes at the YMCA DeRamus Center, YMCAs in Independence and Raytown, the Jewish Community Center and Sugar Creek Pool. Up until the last two years of her life she was still teaching swimming. She also loved playing tennis and motorcycling. She was also active in the South Crylser Restoration Branch.
Diane is survived by her husband of forty-one years Bob Lamb, of the home; son Rob Lamb and wife Melissa Montoya, Los Alamos, NM; sister Cookie Daughtery, Independence, MO; and brother Jerry McPherson, Shawnee, KS.
