Dorothy Landes

Dorothy Ann Landes, 71, Independence, MO passed away May 8, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Sat., May 10 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; cremation. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Lung Assoc.
Dorothy was born Feb. 13, 1937 in Deepwater, MO. She worked for the Independence School District cafeteria service for many years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Eastern Star and Harper’s Hopper’s Square Dance Club.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Glen Landes in 1994. She is survived by daughter Paula Wagoner, Harrisonville, MO; son Paul Landes and wife Jacquie; brothers Bob Smith and wife Dolores, all of Independence; George Smith and wife Thelma, Clinton, MO; grandchildren Robert Wagoner and wife Teri; Andrea Canaday and husband Jerimi; Julie Brown and husband Duff; Stephen Landes; Cody Epley; and great-grandchildren Summer Wagoner, Hannah Canaday, Audrey Canaday; and her beloved Boston Terrier, Libby Lou.
