Irene Landsberg

Irene E. Landsberg, 92, of Independence, MO passed away July 22, 2011 at Rosewood Health Center. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Irene was born May 4, 1919 in Medicine Lodge, KS to Herschel A. and Cuba E. (Strickland) Shriver. Her greatest passions were being a devoted homemaker and member of the Community of Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Emsley Landsberg in 2010. Irene is survived by her two sons, Dean and Kent, their wives Jerri and Sue respectively; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to Harvest Ball Society, P.O.
