Janet Lea (Stephens) Large, 50, Independence, Mo. died unexpectedly Feb. 11, 2005 at her home. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Monday at the funeral home. Janet was born June 22, 1954 in Kansas City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for her sons at the Bank of America, 1305 N. 7 Hwy, Blue Springs, MO 64014. She was a 1972 graduate of Truman High School. She was a purchasing specialist at Hallmark Cards where she had worked for 31 years. She had been a member of the Hallmark Crown Singers and was a member of the Hallmark 25 Year Club. Janet enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, camping, country music and NASCAR. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Stephens. She is survived by sons Robert Paul Large and Joshua Thomas Large, of the home; mother Lois J. Stephens, Indep., Mo; brother Gene G. Stephens and wife Dixie, Blue Springs, Mo; brother Mark P. Stephens and wife Shelly, Lawson, Mo; brother John D. Stephens and wife Debbie, Indep., Mo; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
