Carol Suzanne (Kelly) Larkin, formerly Perks, 62, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at VFW Post 3976, 12810 Kentucky Rd., Sugar Creek, MO.
Carol was born August 5, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Dean and Mary (Borgmeyer) Kelly as one of seven children. She graduated from Raytown High School. Carol worked for many years as a daycare provider for neighborhood children and for numerous companies including; American Litho, Able Cleaning, and Americlean. On June 26, 1999 she married her second husband, Jack, and together they enjoyed their vacation home in Lake of the Ozarks, classic cars, motorcycles, and for many years attended both Country Meadows and Eastside Baptist Church. She also enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, decorating, and had an eye for details in everything she did. Carol is remembered for her loving, caring, and social ways. She is loved and will be missed.
Carol is survived by husband of fourteen and a half years, Jack of the home; sons, John Perks of Liberty, MO; Rick Perks and wife Stacy of Excelsior Springs, MO; and Brandon Perks and wife Heather of Liberty, MO; grandchildren, Mikayla, Taylor, Braydon, and Erica Perks; siblings, Dean Kelly of Kansas; Mike Kelly and wife Joyce of California; Larry Kelly and wife Cindy of Kansas; Don Kelly and wife Nancy of Kansas; Tim Kelly and wife Roxanne of Lee’s Summit, MO; and Tricia Picard of Grain Valley, MO; mother, Mary Kelly of Kansas; former husband, Martin Perks of Excelsior Springs, MO; former parents-in-law, George and Billie Perks of Richmond, MO; and her beloved Dachshund, Missy Sue Larkin.
