Harry W. Lass, 88 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Wed. Oct 20, 2010 at North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be 10 am Mon. Oct 25, 2010 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 – 7:00 pm Sunday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Friends of Sugar Creek, 606 N. Sterling, Sugar Creek, MO 64054. Mr. Lass was born on Oct 23, 1921 to Haley and Maude (Stevenson) Lass and had lived in the Sugar Creek area most of his life. He had been a Welder with Standard Oil Company for 35 years. He was a loving husband and uncle who enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his property in Sugar Creek. He was a member of the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church. Harry was a proud Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Lass and sister, Dorothy Breshear. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorene of the home, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by numerous nieces and nephews.
