Betty Irene Lawrence, 89 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 60452. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Betty was born March 23, 1926 in Omaha, NE to Melvin F. and Helen Ruth (McKircher) Camden. Betty was a beloved wife mother and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, shopping and mostly playing Bingo. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #1096 in Kansas City, MO and the Salvation Army. She is survived by; 3 daughters, Cheryl Linville and husband Tommy of Independence, MO, Kathy Finnell and husband Tom of Sugar Creek, MO and Tamara Rucker and husband Marvin of Independence, MO; a son, Mark Lawrence and wife Carol of Grain Valley, MO; 2 sisters, Lois Humphrey of Omaha, NE and Anna “Midge” Hall of Las Vegas, NV; 2 brothers, Vernon Camden of Omaha, NE and Charles “Chuck” Camden of Drexel, MO; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
