Ruth Lawson

Ruth Lawson, 71, of Buckner, MO passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005 at Speaks Buckner Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel. Burial will take place in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Ruth was born October 16, 1933 in West Virginia to Clyde and Katie McGee. She was a homemaker and enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together in her spare time. Ruth loved to sew and make items for her family. Mrs. Lawson is survived by her husband of 39 years, William Lawson of the home; sons Gary Gregory and wife Debbie of Independence, MO, Larry Gregory and wife Kathy , and Charles Gregory all of Kansas City, MO; daughters Lavana Penn and husband Bill, Sue Adams and husband Richard all of Independence, MO; stepsons Doug and David Lawson of Kansas City, MO; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; brothers Dexter McGee of Liberty, MO and David McGee of Independence, MO; sister Louise Dye of West Virginia; a host of nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Penn, son David Gregory, sister Gladys McCollum and brother, Cecil and Jim McGee.
