Wanda Lea Lay

Wanda Lea Lay, 89, of Independence, passed away May 31st, 2018. A private family graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence. All are welcome to a remembrance memorial for Wanda on Saturday, June 9th at 2:00pm at Redwood of Independence, 1800 S. Swope, Independence, MO 64057. Wanda was born August 15th 1928, in Kansas City, MO. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles W. Lay, Jr. and her brothers, Donald Sage and Robert Sage. She is survived by her daughters, Becky Tucker of Olathe, KS and Cathy Lay of Kansas City, MO; her sister, Annette Manley (Robert) of Independence; grandsons, Corey McBain of Overland Park and Cameron Tucker of Olathe; as well as, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Redwood of Independence Activity Fund.
