Hubert O. LeBlanc, 71, Independence, MO passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Hubert was born September 18, 1937 in Lake Providence, LA the son of Nolan J. and Nelma (Guidroz) LeBlanc. He was a graduate of Livonia High School, Livonia, LA and Bebout Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, IN. Hubert was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He served as an Independence Firefighter in the 1960's and was employed for over 28 years with Dow Chemical as a Pipeline Tech for Gulf Coast Pipeline, retiring in 1993. Hubert was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners and the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Page) LeBlanc in 2007 and his parents.
Survivors include his children; Jeffrey A. LeBlanc and his wife Patty of Bates City; and Paige Vallet of Kansas City; five grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Katie, Rachel and Adam; sisters, Barbara Blanchard, Betty Watts, and Celeste Layrisson.
