Mae E. Lefman, 84, of Independence, MO passed away July 26, 2011, surrounded by her family. Mae was born on January 15, 1927, in Higginsville, MO. She grew up in the Higginsville area and graduated in the class of 1944. She married Alfred Lefman, of Corder, MO, in 1945. Mae worked as a school bus driver for Pace School Bus Company for 15 years. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Alfred; their daughter, Alice Davis of Liberty, MO; son Bruce Lefman of Independence, MO; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Salisbury Road, Independence, MO.
