Sheila Leftwich

Sheila Anne Leftwich, 55, of Raytown, MO was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at her home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 in the chapel. In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gilham Rd., Kansas City, MO 64108. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Sheila was born December 16, 1955 in Lexington, KY to Robert Ward and Helen Elaine (Harold) Leftwich. She was a contractor with Homeland Security working with INS records. Ms. Leftwich enjoyed reading Stephen King books in her spare time. Her grandchildren were her world, she loved them dearly! Sheila had previously lived in Australia, Iceland and Florida. She is survived by her son Robert Leftwich and wife Jennifer, daughters Crystal Campbell and husband Joshua, Jennifer Bryant and husband Phillip; grandchildren Chase, Paige, Camron, Robert Leftwich, Jr., Christian, Brooklyn, Katelyn, Morghann, Jason and Joel; father Robert Ward Leftwich; siblings Cheryl Lee Alderson and husband Jim, Steven Leftwich, Gwyenne Leftwich. Sheila was preceded in death by her mother Helen Leftwich; and daughter Meghann Alderson.
